Windows update
Is there a way besides ordering the CD that I can get the latest updates and IE 6 plus service packs for a computer that is not on the internet right now? I have no phone, (land line) and trying to set this 'puter up for a friend from scavanged parts and they will be using the phone modem but I would like to save time on a dial up. I could probably network it here...just don't wanna mess with my cable mess.
This is win 98SE I am dealing with.

If you have another computer available with broadband..try downloading what you need here:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows98/d.../corporate.asp
and then burn them to cd
