Intrusion Threat
Zonealarm PRO keeps picking up a VPN access request from a specific IP. I can tell Zonealarm to 'not configure itself' but the message keeps coming up.
Using tracert under XP Home I get pointed to a university in Bennington Vermont.
Is there any way to send something back to the IP that might stop this person or whatever it is from doing it?
I have had a look at some network sniffers but they seem to monitor incoming only.
Any advice as always will be appreciated.

Uni's usually have a contact person that is responsible for such attacks (most likely it is unintentional). Do a whois lookup on that ip (you'll get a range back that belongs to said University) and contact the person listed there. We here at my college usually deal with these type of things within the first 2 days of recieving a complaint. Cheers.

Thanks for the quick response Gollo.
I'll do as you have suggested.
