Thumbs up Crickey ... PC world selling stuff cheap ? (uk)

I'm not oft moved to post in this forum, as I believe with a little googling if price really matters you'll find a better one

However I am most surprised at the folks over at pc world , they seem to have discovered discount pricing !

Two star beasties to look for:-

1 - DVD dual formatwriter for £89.99 by PIKAONE (who?!? but the one someone had bought burns ok ! )

    2. Samsung 7200 rpm 160gig hard drive (2mb cache) a mere £77.55

Both these prices beat my trade sources & I can't find web deals on them much better, or at all, if you allow for p&p

Right I'll go back to my coffee now & try & get over the shock !

Be careful confus-ed, remember why you don't go into PC World in the first place. Overpriced and bad advice usually snaps me out of it when I'm dragged in there kicking and screaming. When I pop down to Tottenham Court Road I always go into PC World first to get an idea of the highest price I'm going to pay before going down to the decent priced outlets down the other end!

In their defence though if you have to take something back you never have a problem. Also that is a damn good priced hard disk.

Hope the coffee was strong. I'm off to have one too!!
There's no panic like the panic you momentarily feel when you've got
your hand or head stuck in something

... If there's any of that going on its them doing it ! ... a visable space opens between me & assistants in my local store & ususally they try & 'seduce' customers to one side incase I start taking telephone numbers & handing out price lists again !

I'm 'subtle' as ever when I find something stupidly overpriced

However I still can't beat that hard disk price, so fair play

Is PC World a store in London?
Over here it's a magazine, which is what made me check this thread.
I am a tad confus-ed, and since I don 't drink coffee, I'll saunter off for my cupa.

PC world and bestbuy could be sister companies.

PCWorld magazine in the states is brilliant for researching stuff for college
