Memory question.
I am getting ready to add an additional 512MB memory to the server. It has been about 2 years since I have touched the server. Do I need to configure anything on the server to initialize the memory? Ir will it just recognize it and use it.
Novell 5.1.
Thanks John.

I'm pretty sure
you don't have to 'do' anything unlike 3.12 when you had to add a line in the autoexec.ncf. I do think there's a limit you can install though(pretty sure).

Thank you ever so much. I was a 3.12 admin, now I do light 5.1 admin but truthfully we really don't touch the server much. Novell is rock solid!
I know there is a 4GB limit but you can edit a string to make it more.

Yup, Novell is rock solid. Don't have to worry too much about security patches (like M$).
