[RESOLVED] getting only 16 colors
I have just reformatted and reinstalled my Windows 98. The problem is, before formatting, I could get 16 million colors in the display and I could get up to 1024x720 resolution, but now I only have the minimum resolution with only 16 colors. I have installed the appropriate drivers - it is Plug and Play. Can someone help me?

What video card and driver are you using?

Have you tried getting the drivers from the restore cd?

Make sure your monitor driver is installed and the correct model has been selected. Reboot and select 16bit colour again..
