Can you access this site?
I seem to be having trouble trying to access this site but only on my home computer.
www.templatemonster.com
I have ISDN at work and everytime I have tried to access the site whilst at work have had no problems. However when I am on my home computer which is 56k dial up, I cannot reach the site.
I get the "Opening www.templatemonster.com" message in the bottom of the browser but after a couple of minutes I get an error message that the site was unreachable. At first I thought it was mere coincidence that I could only access the site at work and not at home. I figured the server might be having problems but now I am starting to wonder if it isnt something else. I have EZ armor firewall on the computer at home but it hasn't ever stopped me form accessing any other sites before.
Anyone got an idea what this could be?

A bit long during the initial load, but no errors and everything appeared fine.

Worked here too. Maybe security or privacy settings aren't allowing it to come up? Or maybe the site was just down at the time you tried it? I dunno. Just guessing. Or maybe the magic firewall fairy created a rule blocking that site somehow?

When I typed this thread I was at work and could access the site. Now I am at home and cannot access the site anymore. Its got to be more than coincidence. I did a tracert and here are the results.

I still get a "Page cannot be displayed error" after a few minutes when trying to access the site. Does anyone know what could be going on here? I have disabled my firewall but still no luck.

No probs here too. Have you tried viewing it through a web proxy?

The main thing that's different, is your ISP ! .... ISP's have their own exclusion lists, maybes where ever you are trying to reach is on one list & not another ? OR one is cached at one & not the other ...
Anyways Tracecert from effectively two different starts isn't much help ... most especially when you only get one of the traces !
However if you look at his trace then you can see that what's not available is infact a sub-domain ... follow the traces, for the last three you hit ge0-0.core01.pow.oh.foonet.net, then fw02-ded-cfn.man.foonet.net & lastly a fail from fw02-ded-cfn.man.foonet.net ...
So its failing in that last domain for whatever reason, which is no doubt cached at your works ISP & you just aren't aware of that ....

Do a tracert at work, compare the routes taken. Then report it to your isp.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

I will do a trace at work on monday. However in the mean time I have two ISP's so once I send this I will hang up and dial the opther ISP and see if I can access the site through them. Thanks for the advice.

it appears that I am able to access the site if I dial in via another ISP. I have sent an e-mail to my ISP to see what they can do about it.

Well after sending in tracert results to the site whilst using my ISP and also while using two other ISP's just to prove it was their problem as I could reach the site with other ISP's, they sent this e-mail.
Thank you for your email.
It appears that Foonet.net is blocking connections from Dodo customers. We are looking into this at present, however we can give no specific timeframe or likelihood of resolution at this stage.

Dodo Support Team
In other words if no one else complains about it they probably wont bother trying to do anything about it.
