    trouble bootin 98 says missing set up files

    is there a way to correct this problem. when i try and boot into win 98 se it says missing setup files dont matter if i try safe mode it says same thing.
    i would like to correct this without formatting or reinstalling windows 98 any help?

    Does it say exactly which files are missing?
    If not, then reinstall over the top, it will not remove any programs you have installed (unless they are hopelessly corrupt) but it will put back the files you need.
