locating a bios file for a old 486 motherboard

I was wondering if anybody new of anyplace that had stored old bios files.as I have finally identified an old 486DX4 motherboard I have after countless hours online it seems to be a GALAXY II 486 Class with this info
    GALAXY II Ver:1.0 Motherboard
    - BIOS ID string 01/01/95-CONTAQ-82C596-2A4H2000-00
    - 4-72 pin SIMM slots (1-256meg RAM)
    - 4-32bit PCI slots
    - 2-32bit VESA Local Bus slots
    - 4-16bit ISA slots
    - 1-8bit ISA slot
    - 128k-1024k CACHE support in 8-32pin sockets + 1 TAG RAM socket
    - AMI/AWARD Auto-Detect Flash Bios with Energy Mgmt.
    - Supports LBA Mode Control & Large Disk DOS Compatibility.
    - CYPRESS/CONTAQ chipset
    - Supports 3.3/5volt CPU's
    - ZIF 3 CPU socket which supports these processors:
    INTEL 80486DX/DX2/DX4,Pentium Overdrive
    CYRIX CX486S2/DX
    AMD AM486DX/DX2/DX4
    - Supports speeds of 25/33/40/50/66/75/100 MHz.
    - Manufactured by: ADDTECH RESEARCH, INC.
    2A4H2 Contaq 82C596-9 Chipset
    my chipset numbers-
    CONTAQ CONTAQ
    82C599 82C597
    1641F1230 9444
    9437NAS AA4677.1

it also included this number ali m-1487 which I believe is a American Megetreads bios number could be wrong though and some one said my motherboard was a [kim] motherboard but it could be a reboxed item as the galaxy II is a exact match for my board including the chipset but I think both companies are defunt, kaput, dead. any info or pointing in the right direction or info to the bios file thanks ahead of time eyes are getting blured

exactly the same layout as my board everthing got some pics of my board but their big

The ALI m1487 refers to a motherboard chip (IDE controller?). ALI no longer offers support for it directly.

The official chipset for the board is Cypress 82C596-9(Contaq), as you mentioned. It was manufactured by Addtech Research Inc. (http://www.megasat.ch/totalhardware/m/A-B/32054.htm) which no longer exists either.

http://www.esupport.com/ may be the only option you have of updating your Award BIOS, or maybe this link could help you out if you're patient enough to sift through the entries. I've sent the ID string to eSupport and I'll post back here if I get any news from them.

Kinda sounding like its just dead. I could see maybe a hosed BIOS causing that. To be honest, though, I really don't see much point in bringing it back. If you know of any computer stores that have been around for several years, one would probably have an old early Pentium class MB/CPU they would sell really cheap...maybe even give it to you if you're a good customer of theirs.

From the looks of things, that was a really good board (at least in features) in its day, but its day is long gone.
