    Resolved [RESOLVED] Integrated video?

Help I am rookie to this computer stuff. I want to install an upgraded video card on my computer AMD-K6 500 mhz. It has 8mb "integrated video" i got a Diamond v770 32mb card from my friend but I dont think I have an AGP slot to put it into. At least I cant see where it would fit. The only extra slots on my board is for more memory and 4 "white" slots that are the same as where my modem is plugged into. Please HELP!!

You don't have an AGP slot for that video card. you may be able to use a PCI card to upgrade.

The white slots are PCI slots. You need a PCI Video card.

You will probably have to disable the integrated video to use an external video card. Some motherboards have a "jumper" on the board to disable it. It may be marked on the mobo which jumper. Some mobo's have "softset" type. You enter the bios at start-up and find the section for the video & disable it.

There is probably more info on the website of the mobo or system manufacturer.
