[RESOLVED] Vid card errors
Ok, I updated as much as I could for my vid card (Voodoo 2 12 meg). The 3CFX upgrade will crash my computer, basically freeze it up. Well I updated some AMD drivers (gigabyte ga71x/Athlon 700 Mhz) from my new system. Now I don't get any sound whatsoever, and it won't accept my AWE 64 sound card. Also, now when I load up a game, it states the following:
Error occured while Direct3D objects initialization. Init D3D->DirectDraw Create (lpDDGUID, lpDD,NIL) Windows can not create anymore DCs.
Has anyone ever had this same problem or know to solve it. I have a Creative 3d Blaster 4 megs with Creative Labs Voodoo 2 12 megs. Any help is greatly appreciated.

First, ditch both video cards, and buy a new GeForce2MX or a Savage2000.
Seriously, make sure your IRQ routing drivers for your motherboard chipset are installed. THough honestly, I really don't think a Voodoo2 will work properly with an Athlon setup...Athlons are just so fast they'll be faster at 3D processing than a Voodoo2. If you check Yahoo or Ebay auctions, you can find a BUNCH of older graphics cards for sale reasonably...get a minimum of 32 MB....a Savage2000 (Not Savage4...image quality is horrible) or a GeForce2MX or an ATI Rage128-based card should do nicely.

Thanks for your suggestion. I'm waiting for a 3D Blaster Annihilator 2 MX 32 meg, so hope this will help. Thanks again for your help.
