    Will Zone Alarm stay free?

Zone Labs is to be acquired by Check Point Software:

Assuming it goes ahead, I wonder if they'll retain the free Zone Alarm?

I hope so, 'free' whatever is the loss leader of the s/w world, I hope ZA's new owners see it that way too ...

Try sygate personal firewall. DL at download.com. Nice little brainless firewall that is free and so far seems even better than zone alarm - fewer issues and it tracks back to the source of attempted intrusions pretty well.

I've been using Outpost Free for some time, I know a lot of people use Zone Alarm and just wondered when I saw the article.
