    Cluster Migraines

I debated whether this was worth posting or not, but I wondered who in here gets these. I know I do. I just recently started a new cycle of them and they arent funny. This page shows some rantings by others who suffer them as well. I am not nearly in their shoes but close. As of this time they are easing. None night before last and only a short 10 minute reduced one this am.

Ferrit I don't get cluster headaches, but I suffer from something called Sluder's Syndrome. I was diagnosed with it last year and oh boy howdy when it hit's me it can last for 2 or 3 days and about the only thing that even marginally helps is to be locked in a dark room with a heating pad over my head. The syndrome is actually related to cluster headaches. Luckily I have only had 1 bad episode in the last 3 months, but I did have a minor episode up here at work Sunday night through Monday morning.
I only post using 100% recycled electrons!!!

Stay on the bomb run, boys. I'm going to get them doors open if it hair lips everybody on Bear Creek.

I don't get the cluster ones, but I do get migraines...and they suck a$$...used to be 2-3 times a year for week or two they'd last...then after my son was born went to 3-4 a week...kinda hard to work that way..... Was on meds to control em for years..but would still get em every 2-3 months...have since started going to a chiropractor and they found alot of damage in my neck from a car accident where I went thru the windshield at 13. They have been correcting that damage and its helped alot. Been off the meds for awhile now.....just had one a couple weeks ago, but before that it had been 9 months!! Longest stretch without them since I was 16!!!!

Lucky I only get migraines maybe 1 every 6 months or so. I have noticed they have gotten more intense as I get older. They used to be just bad headaches, but now they are disabling.
I can tell if one if coming on and I try to leave work early before it comes on strong. Now they usually make me throw up at their peak.

No sense, no feeling. I rarely get headaches.

I thought you had a problem with a cluster server.

Not migraines as such, but I've had a constant headache/pressure over my right eye now for about 6 years. I've noticed that I tend to avoid bright lights (even daylight) and loud noises more.

It varies in intensity, but it's always there - morning to night.

No medication has solved it yet, and scans have not revealed any other reasons why this could be occuring.

I had heard many years ago, that the material in tooth fillings has a level of mercury (I think it was) in them that is considered non-toxic, but has been known in studies to cause headaches in small dosages. These fillings over time actually deteriorate, and go straight into the digestive system, then to the blood.

I understand that the white fillings don't have this side effect, and that many people suffering the way you describe had their fillings replaced, and never had these problems again…I never researched this, but it might be something you guys would want to look into if you have these fillings...

Ya I done alot of research into it actually fillings can cause that problem as well but in my case I worked in a auto paint shop for 25 yrs and hence am toxic. So any over indulgence in things not in the whole food group usually can bring one of these bouts on.
    Definetly a bummer

I used to suffer from migranes as a kid. I haven't had one in many many years thank God.

I am in no way an expert, but I have heard that migranes have be treated successfully with accupuncture (sp?). Considering that it can reduce quite a bit of pain, maybe it is something to look into. You never know.
