    Startup error

    When I start up my computer as the desktop comes up I get a box on the desktop from Microsoft Connection Manager with an error message stating that "The service profile is damaged. Re install the service profile". I have an etower machine.

    Thanks NooNoo, your answer was right on. In msconfig in the startup folder there was an item for AOL icon which was not being used. The default ISP was MSN.
