Setting up Mirroring, but only once a Week
I want to setup a server to mirror a 60gig drive, but only once a week. The drive only has one NTFS partition and it is a second, non-system disk. I will be installing another 60gig drive soon to use as the mirror.
I do not want to use MS backup. I need to be able to take the drive to another computer and access the files directly, not have to restore them.
So basically, I need to mirror a 60gig drive once a week.

Upgrade the main hard drive to a dynamic disk, then establish a mirror with the existing drive and the new one (new one must be unformated or will be formated) when put into another system, it must be able to read dynamic NTFS drives (2k/xp/2k3) before removing the drive, break the mirror, when you need to back up, re establish the mirror. It's all manual work, but should do the job.
Remember. Alway back up first when changing the file system
