Was recommended in this thread a few weeks ago http://forums.windrivers.com/showthread.php?t=54441 My Norton subscription was up for renewal so I gave it a spin. I like it, but how do you really tell if one AV is as good as another (before its too late)? BTW, firewall is rebadged zonealarm.

Been running it since it originally came out. I havent had any issues with it. No viruses either so I guess it hasnt got a test yet. Yes the firewall is repackaged ZA. It found my old settings in the registry and used those

VB 100% Award for AV (NT/2000/XP)
ICSA Labs Certified aV and firewall (latter is 1 of only 3, of which ZA is not)
Doesn't sound all too shabby.

i have been using it for a while and it seems to do the job. although i don't think i need the firewall since i am behind a router and no alerts have been detected, but its good to have around.

Simply go to www.eicar.org and download the test file and try and execute it. It should NEVER display the test message, your AV software should block it via signature recognition.
I've bookmarked it for people who can't afford McAfee or Norton and it seems to work well.
