Exclamation VGA out on Radeon 8500 reading as YPrPb only

Basically here's my problem, I have a customer that has a 8500 ATI radeon and a futura monitor. When I updated them to the most current drivers there screen went green. Checked the display properties and it shows it goin to a HDTV via the YPrPb connectors. I can put them on the DVI output using a DVI to VGA adaptor and the screen looks fine, except when it's accessing the hard drive then they get horizontal lines across the screen. I did everything this article said on ATI's website and I still get the lines. Here's another link that talks about an adaptor for the VGA to DVI but I am just using the standard VGA plug off the monitor.ATI's VGA 2 HDTV ADAPTOR
Well here's the system info file from windows and some pics of the card below.
Basically all I want is to either get rid of the lines or get the VGA port working again. They currently are on the Catalyst 3.10, haven't put the 4.1 on there yet, though the only drivers I could get to work w/ the VGA were the 2.* series. I would switch back but he wants to play COD and BF 1942.

Why did you have to update the driver?

one word for ya "GAMES" First off America's army didn't load, second battlefield 1942 ran like it was standing still, then the straw that broke the camels back, Call of Duty, DX 9.0b requred! and the old drivers did DX 8 kinda.

Did you completely uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones?

That seems to be a requirement for all video drivers these days.

You may also want to use a "driver cleaner" program, I believe there is one for Catalyst drivers similar to the detonator destroyer program for nVidia Detonator drivers.

Call of Duty may not be an option as the Radeon 8500 supports Dx8.1 in hardware, Dx9.0b would be in software only (and painfully slow).

    Hope this helps some.

Well haven't done the driver cleaner for it, that would be a nice thing to try but I don't know if that will help or not. I did uninstall the old drivers b4 I put the new drivers on. COD works fine on that card though. Not slow or anything. Most of these "DX9" games will work w/ cards made for DX8. The DX9 cards are just "optimized" for DX9 that's all. I would go try the driver cleaner out but first I have to find one and second we had 6 inches of snow last night during the superbowl.
