    KM2M and Athlon 950 shows 500Mhz

I'm replacing a customer mainboard with one of the only pc133 socket a boards we could find and it's showing the Athlon 950 as a 500 and is running at 500 according to PC Pro. It has the latest bios (shouldn't have caused a problem on an old cpu anyway) and this is the second mainboard of 2. The other pc is also a business machine and has a Duron 900....same problem. Any thoughts? It's not a jumper setting and I saw no place in the bios to set the multiplier (usually locked anyway).

There has to be some way, jumper or BIOS, that allows you to alter frequencies and such. Are you sure it is not a jumper setting?

What is the manufacturer and model number of the board you are using?

Check for the fsb jumper on the mobo. The locked multiplier your thinking of is on the cpu
