private meetings setting office xp
hello again.
quick question on office xp and free/busy in meetings.
i have a client for corporate compliance that wants to make every meeting request PRIVATE. i suggested that everytime she makes or her delegate makes a new meeting request to put a check mark at the bottom right corner where it says PRIVATE.
well she doesnt want to go through that everytime she places a meeting request, she wants them by default to be private.
Is there a setting to enable that?
thanks in advance

actually the case is close..
went there and told her that there are no settings in office xp to make that a defult setting. if she wanted a meeting to be a private meeting, she needs to put a check mark..
thanks for the help anyways.

point is, if no one has access to her outlook, then no one can see the meeting in the first place, only the person who it was sent to.....

well.. she has a delegate, her secretary and she has edit permissions on calendar so she can schedule meetings for the director.
now, if anyone is trying to make a meeting with the director and types her name to see directors availability, the free/busy bar that shows she is busy comes up as it should, but when you hover your mouse on top of it, you are able to see what meeting she is in. she is trying to avoid that, so now if you make a meeting and check private, other people will be able to see the free/busy bar but wont get details about the meeting, this is good when you are having confidential meetings that you dont want other people to know about, but you want to show busy on the calendar..
so again.. she was askig if the default setting could be change to be private all the time without having to check private.
Assumption is the mother of all fucl< ups

There is no such global setting to make all meetings private or to check that box by default.

I recall a little shareware/freeware progy I had a while back that was called something like "click it". You set it to click any box or useless click everytime set program or window came up. Maybe this could work but unfortunately I don't have it any longer. I believe I found it on www.techtv.com Might be a bit tacky for the office though. I did a quick google for click it but didn't see it right off after like 15 pages of links
