virtual drivers

I am running Windows ME and when I reboot up my system it tells me the virtual drivers need to be reinstalled and then I get a error message. Also when it boots up it doesn't reconize the cd rom and wants to start up in safe mode, can you heklp me?

Can you describe what events led up to this? (Did you add a new device to your computer, or install new software?)

Also, if you could tell us the exact error message, it would help.

The exact message I get is "administrator or virtual driver not found! Please reinstall."Sometimes when I restart it wants to start in safe mode, then it tells me the display drivers don't work. So I was trying to update the drivers by the CD, then after it restarted I got the message. Do you think you can help? I also get an error messsage.
