    OE6 Messages

    Just a quick question - where do I find (path) that OE6 messages are stored on Win98 SE??????Trying to import across a WAN to a new XP machine. I found addresses and imported them OK. Thanks for your help!!!!!!!!!!!!

    They don't import well across a wan. On the machine where the mail is stored, do a search for *.dbx. When found copy the entire folder over to the machine you wish to import to so that it is now a local folder.

    In oe, file import, oe5 (or 6) on the second screen (I think, doing this from memory) there is a radio button, import from oe store directory, select that button and it allows you to browse to the local folder, then away you go.

    OE buries the emails in some great long folder name in windows\applications...
    Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
