    My PC Freezes when encoding video !!!

    My new machine with a chaintech nforce 2 zenith ultra mainboard freezes halfway through encoding video it works fine for every thing else

    Drivers all updated: video and mb? Tested your ram?

    How much RAM do you have. Video Editing can be a taxing thing on da RAM.

    Major Kong is very right, it will test yer ram quite nicely so thats where I would go first. Use goldmem to test the mem as well to eliminate that possibility

    Freezing while incoding

    I has this problem using nero vision on xp pro machine encoding mepeg 2. i just changed the codec problem sort of solved, still freezes when encoding more than one video into dvd format. encodes first one then prog freezes. this is good enought for me. i just do one at a time now.

    amd 1800 running at ~1800Mhz
    2x 256 meg ram
    geforce FX 5600 64meg 8x agp
