what you have is either a voodoo 1 card or a voodoo 2 card if it has ram on bothe sides of the card and like 3 chips saying 3dfx on it and a ramdac looka like chip on it
<4 big chips> it would probably be a v-2
more then likeley my best guess would say you have a voodoo 1 card go to www.3dfx.com
download bothe v1 and v2 drivers to the same folder
neat trick here is to download them to the same folder then open the folder then creat a folder within the folder containing the apropriate drivers right mouse button drag the voodoo1 drivers to the new folder
and if you have winzip 8.0 installed
choose to unzip to this new folder or otherwise the default location of the wnzip self extracting archive will end up in a temp folder really tough to find on the hard drive
do this for the v-2 drivers too ,then without the card installed yet
go to control panel click on install new hard ware choose no to search
then from the menu choose other device the funny yellow qeustion mark
then choose have disc and browse to the apropriate folder where you unzipped the drivers for the v 1 <or apropriate ones>
after finishing installing new hard ware
finish closeing all open windows etc and choose no to rebooting computer at this time choose to shutdown and then insert the card if it is found but is still not happy with the v1 drivers try the v-2 drivers instead
again have the v2 drives unzipped where you can find them they dont do anything untill there unzipped
have fun gameing also tip here is some 3d cards have to have there 3dability diabled under advanced properties in order for the v
card to work sometimes will work ok without disableing this features of the drivers
example cirrus laguna series sometymes fight with the v-2 over whos going to do what
any way have fun &enjoy!!
