Want to turn the internet off
Turn off the Internet. (NOTE: You will need to use the Task Manager to Close the "Untitled" browser Window. If you do not know how to do this, then DO NOT click this link!)

a pop-up blocker will also kill that joke. Funny when it works, though.

And of course if you use a popup blocker you can always hold down your ctrl key before clicking the button. I used to use Earthlink PUB, but now use Google PUB. Both use ctrl as a standard to allow one time popups, so I'm assuming they all do.
