 MagView 19" Monitor
I recently purchased the MagView 19" monitor.
Works great in Windows. It will not display
Quake 3 or Need For Speed Porche Unleashed. It will display Mechwarrior 4 and Unreal Tournament.
System Specs:
MSI K7T Pro2-A mobo
AMD 1Ghz processor
128 Megs RAM
AOpen GForce 2 PA256MX video card
I am running the NVidia reference drivers, as the drivers packaged with the card would not properly run Mech 4.
I have installed MagView.inf driver/ alternately Proview.inf driver for the monitor. No change. I have seen posts in other news groups concerning the same problem with no fix. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am running DX 8, and have run diags. It will not properly complete Direct Draw, Direct Play, or AGP tests.
Also have the latest drivers from GLSetup.com. I may try AGPx2, or AGPx1.

Maybe just set it for a pnp monitor.
Go to start/run and type in "dx diag" w/o the quotes.
go to display tab and disable direct draw and d3d accelaration to see if that helps also.

Just thought I'd post the solution courtesy
of Hard_Wired. I set the refresh rate to 'adapter default' rather than 'optimal'
or 'monitor default'.
