    Talking Building my first system!

I want to build my first system and I've got some things picked out, and was wondering if you guys could give some advice or any tips!

Here's what I've picked out so far(just a rough draft)....

    -AMD XP2800+ 2.08GHz 333MHz FSB 512K (BARTON)
    -ASUS A7V600-VIA KT600-400MHzFSB-8XAGP-SerialATA-USB2.0--Gigabit LAN
    -512 MB PC3200 DDR Ram
    -Radeon 9200 128 MB AGP
-40-60 GB HD (maybe Western Digital)

I would like to keep under $600

Any money saving ideas would be great.

    Thanks for any help.

LOL, you might want to start by posting this in the AMD section.

Check Newegg.com. They got some good prices on parts there.

Been done before, no biggie. So, PSU and case? What about those? Name brand PSU is important! And, considering you're going with an AMD, consider a good aftermarket HSF. I don't care what anyone says: even their retail boxed heat sinks need improvement. Remember: heat kills!!!

For the case/PSU I was thinking of the Raid Max ATX-868WBP, comes 420 W PSU.

Nice case, I almost bought it last night and at the last minute when for a full tower. It got good user reviews at Newegg.
