How do you Share your Net connetion
The days of highspeed for everyone never arrived. For those with BB I'm sure your using a router. If not, or if your like me and have wonderful to ****ty dialup (I got the ****ty part), How do you share your connection out?
I've been using winroute pro 4.x for like 4 or 5 years now but ever since I got a virus on the server its been acting wierd. Turning itself off at random times and stuff. I'm about to do a reload or even server switch so I'm interested in hearing how others handle sharing there connections between manys and users.

Sygate always did the trick for me and my customers...doctor. That being said, you KNOW that this is NOT related to the virus or your "gateway" software. It's something else. So, now, figure it out. All that reinstalling or switching is just a workaround.. And, you know what I mean.

I use freesco and as of late SME6. Both are great for sharing any type of internet connection but the SME server has a web, ftp, email and vpn server built in. The freesco is a lite router (it boots off of a floppy) but very configurable and has many plugins.

*takes that one on the jaw*
Remind me to not post at 3am, at least not without running a spell check first. Two points to shamus for realizing that my connetion is better than his. Shame all ya losers using a REAL connection :P

I'm not even sure what your message means Triple. Doctor? I /know/ its not.. I know what?
Yet, I did get one thing out of this, the answer was Sygate.
I have seen it and used it and sold it to a few customers. I just always prefered winroute for my setup. Since I haven't been able, for reasons I won't get into, use linux for anything right now.

Thanks Gollo. I'm going to take a look at those. While I would prefer to be runnin a full linux box at this point some things in life are not mean to be. Maybe later, maybe not.

So there you go you have Trip's suggestion & what would have been mine
& Here's a link you might like if you don't like the others
& to explain so you won't be confus-ed - I think Trip has gained the impression that you are 'multiple personality man' & are infact teh Doc (who I'm sure you know as a 'character' around here) ...

There are some things in life that I understand and others I do not. One is the fascination with some people who have to know everyone and everything about everyone. Since Doc is on one side of the contient and I'm on the other. I'd dam sure like to see that trick work. *ponders self teleportation and not realizing the power*
thanks confused for tye link fyi

Let me explain HOW things work. Maybe then you'll understand what's going on.
First. ShadowDragon IS a real person, I've known him for several years now and is a great help in the chat.
