Microsoft to ship free security update cd.
Microsoft is offering a free cdrom with all security updates (thru oct 2003) It says it is available fror "Windows XP, Windows Me, Windows 2000, Windows 98, and Windows 98 Second Edition (SE)" When I ordered mine it didn't ask what os so it either detected my WinXp or one cdrom has the updates for all the os. Plus it has a free antivirus and firewall (i am assuming it is the free e-trust they have been giving away). You can read the article here.
and you can order the cdrom here.

I read it to be that the antivirus and firewall are trial versions. It appears that the security update comes on 2 CD, at least from what I can gather from the confirmation page.
Product name: Win Update 2004 English NA Feb Direct 2CD Windows Security Kit
I would guess that it has for all operating systems on it.
This is a great find. Thanks!!!

The same CD works on all operating systems. It's a 2-CD set, CD#1 is the security updates and CD#2 contains the freebie/trial stuff.
