Stuck Home page in Internet Explorer
I somehow got my homepage stuck on Searchcentral.cc. I've set it to msn, but Searchcentral sets it back every few hours on its own. Anything I can do to make it stick to MSN?

You have a home-page hijacker. download and run both Spybot S&D and Ad-Aware..do the updates for both, and then run them and delete what they tell you to. If that doesn't do the trick, you will need to download and run HijackThis, Put it in a folder of it's own on the desktop, and run it with no other windows open. You will have to cut and paste the log it generates into this thread if you can not figure out what to delete.
AdAware:

I also had this problem !! Very annoying - people who write this crap should have their fingers violently removed - they are vandals !!
Anyway - I tried the solution on the searchcentral page ( Contact Us ) they seem to be aware of the damage this annoyance is causing to their reputation.
It seems to have worked ( fingers crossed ).
I rebooted my machine in safe mode and tried to locate whtever process was setting this page but coulnt seem to find anything - it only gets set ( I think ) when you reboot.
Hopefully it has gone now !!

NooNoo's right about this one. I have it in my "don't leave home without it" toolbox -BHOdemon- Use this to see what "helper objects" are not very helpful.

These postings were a great help. I only need to use Ad Aware and the problem was sorted.
Thanks!
