Panic caused by new management.
Anyone have any funny storeys caused by "under new management"
I went to a customer, they had a new IT director who because he was only Novell decided to migrate the company network to Novell, There was mass panic and wailing from the it dept :-)
Another, changed support provider. The new provider uses only C----q machines , so are changing some 2500 desktops and associated servers from one vendor to C----q. Oops there goes the poll tax
There must be others, care to share?

Yeah, supporting a company over 3 sites, had a Novell/Groupwise setup that was working so well we never had a phone from them. Merged trees, separate post boxes etc.
New guy takes over as head of IT, and decides that Microsoft is the way to go... so he wants 2000 servers in place of Novell, Exchange instead of Groupwise, 2000 Pro on PC's instead of NT4.
Biggest problem was the membership database they had was 'written' for Novell, so the developers said we have a Windows version, which took up so much bandwidth over their frame relay (2MB), that my 56k dialup was faster, so he decides he wants Citrix in as well.
He started in Nov 2002 and wanted it all done by Xmas 2002. It's February 2004 and the project is still not finished.... mainly because he keeps moving the goalposts. Good news for my boss (and for the odd bonus), but crap for the users who haven't had a full days work for over 12 months...
Outstanding issues at the moment are to do with the database and roaming profiles.
