Internet Explorer problem
Ok running on a XP home computer with IE 6.0 yet it is coming up on sites such as NASA.com as being below 4.0. The about internet explorer type is showing as 6.0 in about explorer and I can't figure out what else I can check to change. I have a feeling that the user of the the computer either deleted a registry file or possibly installed an older version on IE since in the registry I am finding IE 4.0 for some reason. I have never actually looked through IE registry so I am not sure if that is ment to be there. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
Michael

NASA.com ? That is just a search engine page. Are you referring to Nasa.gov ? If so are you having a problem with their homepage or a specific page, please post the page you cannot see.

The easiest one would be hotmail.com ...... it just comes up with the redirect page saying that I need IE 4.0 or above to access this page. I'm wondering if this could be a spyware problem since I'm pretty sure the computer probably has spyware. But if anyone else has had problems with this being something else please post.
thanks

Never had anything like that but users playing in the registery are capable of anything... if a spyware scan turns up nothing i would probably reload ie6sp1 and see if it works...
