Entire Network is unable to send attachments
I have a 4 pc peer to peer network. We have a verizon DSL along with a linksys 4 port Linksys DSL Router. We are all on windows xp pro and are all using outlook express. we are able to send and receive email fine but we are unable to send attachments. I set norton to not scan outgoing messages and we do not have any type of firewall installed. If you have any ideas please let me know.

Have you contacted verizon? Could be something on their end. Have you added any new updates to the systems recently? Was it working before? Also what kind of attachments are they? OE will block certain types of attachments (if I remember correctly. I know Outlook does). There could also be a size issue. Does the connection time out or does it just not send? If it just times out bump the time out time to like 3 minutes and see if that helps.

I just found out that it is the Linksys DSL Router. I connected the DSL directly to one of the pc's and it was able to send fine.. Now I just have to figure out why the router is blocking attachments. Thanks for you response
