Your Boot Camp Experience
I am in the process of talking the powers that be at my office into sending me to an MCSE boot camp. My question is, if you used a bootcamp for this certification, or went to one for another cert but they taught the MCSE line, what did you think.
What sorts of things were included? How much did that affect your decision and were the things that were promised actually delivered? Anyone can read "testimonials" on the given websites, but real in-the-trenches knowledge is the only good source for the truth.
I'm looking for opinions from ppl who were themselves the student, not second hand information.
Thanks,
*lin*
I actually voted for John Kerry, before I voted against him.

I took a 5 day bootcamp for the CCNA in Tampa. The company I worked for was hosting it so it was 'free'. I took the test on the 5th day and passed it with a 910. That's my only experience with boot camps. IMO, they teach you how to pass the test. My other certs have involved buying hardware, books, and spending my own time (usually a couple months per test) doing the labs from the books and really learning the whole thing. I think it's cheaper this way and you come away with a lot more knowledge.

I agree with Silencio 110%. It is for the reasons he cites that I have never gone to a boot camp and probably never will.
