Node Type
I have a Windows 2003 AD setup at home with the clients all being Windows XP. I have DNS/DHCP no WINS. When you do a ipconfig /all at the cmd prompt, the return shows that the node type is unknown. On the network at work when you do an ipconfig /all the node type always comes back as hybrid. This is on a 2000 AD domian. My question is this, is there a setting in DHCP or DNS that would specify the node type?
