1) I didn't say that. I said "If you hate living here". Yours is the dumbest, easiest response to an overly used phrase that I didn't use. It is very simple. If you hate life in the US, get out. Move to another country more to your preferences. Don't screw with mine. Some of us happen to be happy here.

2) Please respond to what I actually posted, not what you infer on your own. Let me reiterate and clarify: "Lets close our borders to imports." Put simply, stop importing manufactured goods and other items that we certainly could make here. The fact we lack the capacity to meet demand is a state that would quickly be corrected, rest assured. I have no problem with immigration; my grandparents were immigrants. They built what I enjoy today.

I will happily clarify any statement I made in my post, but when refuting any of my points please make sure to actually refute a point I did make, not one you're imagining.

And though I thank everyone for the suggestion, I don't drink coffee.

Point 1, you still sound like an idiot, even if someone complains, they should be asked to leave a nation that through the democratic process and freedoms you can make changes, sounds like you are afraid of change

And of course, I invite you to reread Post #32 from this thread , where I said something along the lines of: I may have been rude, but I defy you to find where I stuck my gob in somewhere where It don't belong.

I don’t want an apology for my “rude” behavior, but for your insinuation that I am bigoted, and hypocritical. Surely has nothing to do with me pointing out how stupid you were for not posting a link or article concerning your topic. As it stands, you realized in that thread you were wrong not to have posted more information so that those of us that live under a rock can understand the discussion, and get involved if we wish. You will note, nowhere in that thread did I opinionate for or against the meeting, for I didn’t feel I had anything worth inputting.

It is true that countries when they are forced to rely on their own resources can be highly innovative. A somewhat strange example is Germany making fuel from coal during ww2. However cutting off all imports would force us to develope litterally thousands of new industries to keep our standard of living, not just fuel. In fact I think if left to our complete own resources our standard of living would swiftly descend to second world level and stay there. I wish I had a list but for instance we have no diamond mines, chrome mines, rubber trees and litterly hundreds of other materials necessary for our industry. Not to mention the biggest losses of all-COFFEE and Chocolate. Two necessities of life.

So, we "annex" Canada and Mexico, no worries!
