Major Pc Problem

hello on another system i have i seem to be having trouble even getting it to start when i press the on button it loads a bit then takes me to a screen saying:

Start in safe mode

last know configuraion dat worked

or start normally

no matter what one i go to the screen goes black and then restarts the system load a bit and the same message

like a continues circle

any ideas??

What was the last thing you installed?

no idea nothing i dont think it is my sisters computer

it dont even have internet so it couldnt be cause by a download of anything

Get the xp cd out, run setup all the way to where it asks you which partition you want to use, and choose repair and existing install.

i dunno how to do dat it goes on to say what directory do u wanna repair i dont know what command to type there

No, thats not what I said, thats the first repair option. Go past that, as if you were going to install it for real

If it finds an xp installation there already, it offers to do a repair. Choose the repair option
