Sorry Darren have to disagree. Go for the S3.

Rage IIc has hardware DVD acceleration built in to the chipset and actually performs better under D3D than the S3 Trio3D card.

I'm just biased! I hate the RageIIc with a vengeance. I have always found S3 boards to be solid performers - not brilliant, but better than most.

They are both average boards, nothing mindblowing.

I'm with Darren on this one. Have seen quite a few of both, the IIc gives a little bit more. (not to mention S3 drivers are getting harder to get)

My question is, why would you have to decide which one is better??? Are you stuck with either card? You should be able to get even a OEM voodoo3 for not much more than what you'd pay for either card?
Is this graphics on a laptop?

I think the person has both cards and is asking which one of the two is better. If it was a Laptop, then obviously he/she wouldn't be able to change the card
