Unable to open attachments in Outlook Express
ok here goes:
Win XP Home, Outlook Express 6.
The user cannot open or save any attachments. Even small document files (.txt and .doc) Some .doc files are being blocked by OE, "Outlook Express has blocked access to this potentially harmful file..." yada yada yada
We are running a pilot program using Exchange 2K > Outlook Express. This is on her home PC but she will be getting her work email thru OE (IMAP)
I think there is a setting you can change in Outlook, but I dont know where it is in Outlook Express.
any ideas?

Perform the following steps to resolve the issue.
1. Start Outlook Express, and then on the Tools menu, click Options .
2. Click the Security tab, and then click to deselect the Do not allow attachments to be saved or opened that could potentially be a virus check box under Virus Protection .
