Unhappy Audio CDs I just created wont play on stereo

    Hi ,

I have just started creating Audio CDs since I just bought a CD writer. I am using Nero by converting a list of mp3s into an Audio CD. When I create it , and insert it in a CD-ROM in a PC, it is dedected as an Audio CD so there is no problem here.
The problem starts when I try to play it on my Pioneer stereo, it is ejected immediately. I know that it plays on my friends stereo. My stereo is around 10 years old but I do not see a problem with this.

Anyone has met with such a problem ?

many older cd drives, including those in older computers, won't even recognize a burned cd, let alone play it

I am using TRAXDATA cd's and burn CD's at a speed of 52x . Should i burn them at lower speed? And is there a different make of CD's which i should use , or are all cd's blue and green ?

Your cd player may just not be able to handle any burned cds at all. Only way to test this is to burn with different media at lower speeds.

There are various media types, some are sold as best for audio cds.

Not all cds are blue or green, gold and silver and all colours in between.

    Sorry

Good point not all cd's are blue and green but blue and green + silver are more common

you should try silver as this is the color for most audio cd's at 2x
if this works okay try 4x then 8x etc

you might want to try diffrent makes but to start just try a high quality cd as near as silver as possible

if the cd drive has a problem with a silver cd @ 2x its not gonna work
