Recently,, they had a NO BID refused clearance center deal,, We went,, opened 9 boxes of Sony 22 inch trinitrons to find 1 not brokenunit ,,, All were sealed factory refurbs.. Only difference was price,, We bought 1 for 50 bucks,,, Then weeded thru 12 boxes of 19 inchers,, Same Model,,, bought it for 50.
The mortality rate is terrible there,, I saw over 200 PCs of various flavors,, HPs,, Emachines,Sonys,, ALL In factory refurb boxes,,, Open Them Up,, Broken Cases,, Bent chassis,,, Truely sad,,, But at 45.00 us a piece,,, Great for good processors, hard drives Ect.
We spent the better part of three days sorting thru the mess,
BUT Id NEVER,, I MEAN NEVER order thru them.

At 80 pounds each it takes a few bucks to ship one, I imagine.

I don't buy a monitor if they charge money for ground shipping, I mean come on, it's ground!!! Monitors I am getting right now are 19" from AMatterofFax.com, AOC 9KLR's, last batch were $164, free ground shipping. If I want it earlier, the price goes up tremendously, but seeing as how I am replacing working 17", I have no problem waiting 4 working days to receive...Now that's a good price!

I've never ordered any refurbs from their Canadian counterpart, TigerDirect.ca, but I have ordered a laptop, a desktop PC (AMD XP2100), a wireless router (which will come out to 0$ with the mail-in rebate) without a hitch.

Yes, but not $69. Also, keep in mind this is a high volume shipper, so they are getting a discounted rate from UPS.

haha,,,
Tiger rebate without a hitch/catch,,,,, oxymoron
They owe my gal 6 rebates for various items, totalling just over $100.00us
When dealing with a company that specializes in grey market/out of production/and out of warranty refurbished (They call them ON SALE) Items,
Collecting rebates can be VERY Difficult.
Oh the stories I could Tell about Tiger,, I have several friends that are or have worked there and its a less than pretty picture.
trout
PS I wish you luck on the rebates though,, or at least better luck than we have had.
