    backup

    What folders/files should I back up to capture the exchange mail boxes on a SBS 2003 server.

    The important thing to note is that you dont back up or virus scan exchange with 'file based' programs. You need to use software that understands exchange. The built in windows backup (veritas) does but you need to set it up right. The rest of the info is in the link NooNoo posted.

    I'd also recomend a few trial runs as it can be a real pain to recover. It shouldn't be but dont be left with a tape full of data, a dead server and no practical experience of what to do next

    Baa, it's fun to learn how to use edbutil and eseutil on the fly.
