Have someone installed Ati Maxx on WinME?
Even with the latest drivers, in a system based on a QDI Advance 9 (chipset via), when I install drivers, system hangs. I tried not installing via drivers with no success. I tried 4.25 with the same result. Agp is setted to 2x, so what could be the problem?

In a nutshell YES. Otherwise I wouldn't be typing this now
I used the standard drivers supplied with the Maxx Card (the newer drivers made no difference to me at all). The revision number of the drivers I am using is A6.30.-CD34.
I must admit though that I am using a BX chipset not a VIA. I have had a few probs getting this card to work with AMD systems using the VIA chipsets. This is a compatiability prob between the card & VIA chipsets which ATI know about (and I was told this by the UK's primary distributor of ATI cards)and have not got anyting in the pipeline as a fix. It ahs someting to do with the dual processor calls apparently.

What you should try first is to download the agp 4x driver from the via website. http://www.viatech.com/drivers/index.htm
it is just under the 4-1 drivers.

I tried via agp 4.03d with no results. It should be a problem between Qdi and Ati, because I tried a Jetway with the same chipset (via693) and I was able to make it function properly installing via driver on "standard mode" (so with agp 1X).
