Licences
I've added a 5 licence CAL to my installation but when I add a user although I accept the default which is to create an exchange mailbox, the maibox is not created. I've noted that this licence is called a DEVICE CAL and not a USER CAL. What's the difference and is this the reason that the exchange mailbox is not created. My SBS 2003 has "exchange technology" to use the MS marketing terminology.

Forget this. I went back in next day and low and behold, there are the mailboxes that didn't appear the day before. Can only assume the server went walkabout for a few hour!

Sometimes it can take a while to create the mailbox, testing here ranges from immediate to an hour.
I think replication/updating of Active Directory has something to do with it, I've never looked it up as the mailbox always gets created eventually!
