[RESOLVED] putting two vid cards in a system (need info)
was curious about putting a second video card in my system...i heard of allocating one for vertical and one for horizontal..i was curious as to how this is possible..i have a savage4 32meg pci...thinking of getting another one of the same and seeing if i could do it..any help pleaze

What do you mean by "one for vertical and one for horizontal"?
You can install another VGA card and another monitor, to expand your desktop. In order to do that, you need Windows 98 or Windows 98 SE.

I think the person originally postig is talking about SLI (Scan Line Interleaving), which is only possible on the VooDoo2 series or cards. Even then it was only used in games that could take effect of the feature. Buy a GeForce or Radeon, which would make a lot more difference than having the Voodoo2 cards.

is voodoo2 the only card to allow that for games...that is ultimately what i am trying to do

had that working with 2 matrox cards once under winnt4.0
I forgot the model though sorry..
