    Here's an interesting email situation

Boss is going to be out of town for a week or two and wants to be able to check her internet and INTERNAL (Exchange 2003) email on her laptop while she's on the road.
Our firewall blocks all VPN traffic so she would not be able to connect directly into the office to retrieve her email. Through corporate policy, there's nothing I can do about that.
How can I make her email accessable to her while she is out of the office?

    Any auggestions.

Our firewall would block all requests to OWA. (We actually do use OWA internally.)

Forwarding to a seperate email account is an option, but would I have to setup a terminal running Outlook with rules in place?

I take it you don't allow direct dial in either? We now have VPN in place, but before that it was a direct dial in to a line here at work and they would authenticate via CiscoSecure, and onto Active Directory......

I wouldn't think. shouldn't that be an option on the server side?

this seems like the best solution, even if you would have to configure a terminal.

She's the boss right? It's the perfect time to explain to her how beneficial (and secure) a VPN could be.

Set up the Boss's PC with this:

    https://www.gotomypc.com/

and for a few bucks your boss will be able to take remote control of their office PC from anywhere where they can get to a web connected PC. The service is very secure and does not require ANY firewall tweaks or open ports at all.
