external rewritable cdr
Hello everyone,
Just a quick ???---
Is it possible to hook up an external phillips cdr775 audio rewritable player to an Ge Force FX5200 vid card or anywhere else on a pc????basically just so I can use it to burn apps/music etc. right from my hd to the phillips----
Also what do ya all think about the possibility of switching boards from a reader to a writer --vice versa--- as long as they are manufactured at the same company would that make them compatible????
Thanks to all

Ummm I think external cd writers if thats what you mean are usually either USB,Serial or Firewire.
Having said that Yes its possible to hook it to a laptop either through the USB,firwire or serial port or if this isnt present. You can use a PCMCIA to USB card in the laptop

Not sure what board you mean? Maybe a little more detail about what you are trying to do

external cdr rewritable
I don't even know if its possible or not but then again I've rigged up some purty crazy contraptions on that low or no income budget, lol
Is what I was wondering was if you could hook up a phillips cdr775 rewritable audio cdr burner that has 2 slots for CDs like the dual tape recorders have and I believe you put one cd in one and blank in the other etc. etc.---to copy your audio CD's --
well on the back it has cdr in and out ports for digital and analog and one for cdr optical as well as 3 digital ports for CD pretty much like the back of any home stereo system you would get--
is there any way to hook up this long rectangular device to lets say the TV out on a GE Force FX5200 vid card or to a sound card or back of comp---or even hacking the ends off of the cables and converting them to fit together somehow so that I can burn straight from my computer to this cdr copier/burner or am I reaching for unfixable unattianable mayhem!!!!
I'm leaving to go back on the road for summer and wanted to take my goods with me without hauling around a pc in my pack, lol mostly my music collection and I just fried my actual CDR burner with IDE cables and all---lol---timing couldn't have been worse and I aint got the funds to throw down for another burner I would probably end up losing on the road anyway so my friend threw this phillips cdr775 audio recordable/rewritable my way and well thats where I stand right now---
Or maybe tear out the actual card and/or tray and affix it to another phillips compatible back so I can plug an IDE and power supply up to it---
I don't know any help would be great cause I'm really itching ta tear this new to me device apart but----
