    ZoneAlarm 5 - Problematic?

I've been reading all sorts of unpleasantness about the new ZA, most along the lines of the column in Fred Langa's newsletter - http://langa.com/newsletters/2004/2004-05-31.htm - and it sounds like it should be avoided at all costs.

I've used ZA Free since v.1 and been a fan, but trials of the retail version have always been, um....less than satisfactory. A case of trying to be a Jack of All Trades and ending up being a Master of None.

I'll stick with the freebie until it too causes more problems than it solves, and then I guess move onto another brand.

Good heads up baz. It's sad, but we've been down this road before. Norton anyone?
