    Resolved [RESOLVED] winoldapp hangs on shutdown to DOS

    Win98SE - When restarting into MS-DOS 'winoldapp' stops responding I can not recover from this and have to reboot my machine. The only way I can get to DOS now is by using the boot hotkey. Can anyone help?

    Been my experience that winoldapp generally not always mind you is related to a scripted file or process running in the background. I would ctrl alt delte and shut down everything but systray and explorer and then try the shutdown, if you shutdown fine try it again and make note of any programs running in the background, it's likely one of them are the problem
