You should be in Leeds, Uk then. They have 1950's air guitar category I think. What colour?

Which reminds me, I have an early 80's Rhodes 73 stage piano for sale if anyone's interested.

Why that would be the color of the wind.
You ought to hear those chords wail when I plug her in and the seven speakers are a crankin.

I made my living for 20 years playing music on the road in bands. Week here, two weeks there, back home, etc.

Rythym guitar and vocals, and sometimes drummer.

    Tools of choice:

I have an Arctic White Fender Telecaster, OLD Peavey Classic tube amp with 2 12" Fender Guitar Transducers, a Shure SM-58 microphone, a Fender Stratocoustic which I seldom use, and a 1989 Sigma by Martin for acoustic play which sounds absolutely wonderful!

Seldom play in public any more, but I am doing a single on the 18th as part of a benefit for the local Food Bank.
If only you knew what's inside of me now,
You wouldn't want to know me, somehow.

Mine sure does sound nice. As long as I stay away from those Phosphor Bronze strings.

On my acoustic, I use Martin Bronze "10s" (non-phosphor).

On my Tele, I use Dean Markley Blue Steel, due to the fact that I have very corrosive sweat when playing for extended periods of time, and I will start breaking strings after about 3 hours of extended play with anything else.

I've always heard it to mean choking the chicken. And I don't believe anything you say anyway because you're from Oklahoma.

Nice "selection" fellas Id have to say that I like the sound of an acoustic guitar than an electric, and a combination is just the best. I've only heard a Gibson Les Paul played in life (that I knew of) cuz my friends have 2 in the Jazz Band I'm in and they sound awesome. So I really dont have the right to vote...

I try to play guitar (Washburn), piano, clarinet, recorder, steel drums, handbells, and I sing in 5 choirs. I'm also very good at playing the radio

so with so many guitarist here perhaps I can ask a question. if I provided chords and the recorded song, would someone be willing to learn and make an mp3 of an acoustic diddy. it's a song my wife sang at our wedding. I'd like to run it on a multitrack cool edit session and record her vocals, then mix it down and save it on CDR. I had a pretty good (by ear) rendition done for her back then, but I can't find it anymore. pm me for details, if anyone could help me out.

I use the same on my acoustic. It came with Elixir stings which are the expensive ones with Gore-Tex but they just sounded too unnatural.

I use D'Addario chrome flatwound 11's on my Epi. No finger noise, but you lose some sustain. That's where the Strat is handy. I use regular ol' Fender Bullets on that.
