    Question Win98SE Serial #

    I need to match up several copies of Win98se licenses to their perspective machines. Where can I find the original MS authorization number in the registry that was entered upon first startup?

    I have a tool that will do it, if you want e-mail me and I'll give it to you or you can check:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion and its under ProductKey
