Does FoxNews love Fahrenheit 911?
I don't know who Roger Freidman the Fox news reviewer is but he seems to love Fahrenheit 911.
http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,122680,00.html
"It turns out to be a really brilliant piece of work, and a film that members of all political parties should see without fail."
"As much as some might try to marginalize this film as a screed against President George Bush, "F9/11" — as we saw last night — is a tribute to patriotism, to the American sense of duty — and at the same time a indictment of stupidity and avarice."
"Readers of this column may recall that I had a lot of problems with Moore's "Bowling for Columbine...
Not so with "F9/11," which instead relies on lots of film footage and actual interviews to make its case against the war in Iraq and tell the story of the intertwining histories of the Bush and bin Laden families"
"The most indelible is Bush's reaction to hearing on the morning of Sept. 11, 2001, that the first plane had crashed into the World Trade Center.
Bush was reading to a grade-school class in Florida at that moment. Instead of jumping up and leaving, he instead sat in front of the class, with an unfortunate look of confusion, for nearly 11 minutes.
Moore obtained the footage from a teacher at the school who videotaped the morning program. There Bush sits, with no access to his advisers, while New York is being viciously attacked. I guarantee you that no one who sees this film forgets this episode."
Looks like FoxNews loves F911, or at least their movie reviewer does.

I'm really glad that the movie will prove once and for all that Bush was so STUPID or INCOMPETENT that when told the U.S. was under attack he froze for 11 minutes.
Certainly not the person to trust with our country and our lives.

The main gripe I keep reading in these reviews is how Bush didn't immediately jump into action the second he was informed a plane had crashed into the World Trade Center. How many millions of people thought the first attack was just an incredible accident? Count me in, terrorist attack didn't even occur to me until I saw the video footage.

I haven't heard anyone gripe that Bush didn't react when the first plane crashed into the WTC. It was assumed to be an accident. He was told about the first plane before he went in to speak to the kids. While he was speaking to the kids he FROZE when informed the SECOND plane had hit the WTC and he was TOLD by his aid "America is under attack".
I could only imagine if there had been other planes headed for New York with nuclear or biological or chemicals aboard. And an F-16 had the plane in his sights but needed an order from the Commander in Chief to shoot it down. And the Commander in Chief decided it was more important to talk to school kids then defend his country.

I would freeze too. It was too hard to believe at the time and it still is.

If you were told by your aide, and I quote, America is under attack, you would have continued to talk to the kids? Come on.
Edit: and he had 20 minutes from the first plane to the second. when I heard about the second plane I immediately knew it was no accident and it was an attack.

What does the time between planes hitting have to do anything? You said yourself it took the second plane to hit before you knew for sure it was no accident.
Quit digging for reasons to support your crusade.

It's a good thing Bush wasn't President during the Cold War. In those 11 minutes he might have doomed the U.S.
I will leave it up to the average American to decide how long after Bush was told "A second plane hit the WTC, America is under attack" he should have realized, Hey, I'm the President, I am the Commander in Chief. I should do my job and protect my country. Eleven minutes of talking to kids, I think NOT.

How did you come about this time anyhow? What was he going to do, run off and leave the kids or tell them we were being attacked, scare the **** out of them then run off? I really dont think 11 minutes is a big deal. How do you know he did not get the ball rolling by giving his aid orders to start being carried out? I just suppose AirForce One was RIGHT behind him with the engines running? Or was it his limo right behind him with the engine running? Oh I get it. He should have called a taxi.
See if I was president and I was in that situation, I would not go running out into traffic leaving kids behind. I would be worried about my own life, and getting to a safe place to lead my country. Not running around like an idiot with a bullseye on my back.
So yet again, you stretch to justify your crusade cause you get shot down in every thread you start.
And why do I not see a comment in the Poll that was started, the poll that has Bush in the lead? Chicken?

I guess you never saw the video which I posted here a while back.
You are just making silly excuses. Eleven minutes no big deal? Right. Good thing you weren't targeted and needed your President to make a decision to save your life.
Why is Bush ahead in our poll? Guess he does better among this demographic. Since he is losing nationwide. And more an more of the truth is coming out about Bush. The news media gave him a free ride for the first 9 months after 9-11 in an attempt to be "patriotic". Now that the election is coming the details of his failures are coming out.
Just look at his cabinet failure, John Ashcroft:
Who has he successfully prosecuted?
Almost no one. It looks like Padilla the "dirty bomber" can't be prosecuted due to prosecutorial misconduct.
Wheres the Anthrax guy? Laughing at Ashcroft and Bush.
Where are the terrorists the Patriot Act was supposed to catch? Not caught, not prosecuted, did they really even exist?
Or were we panicked by Bush into giving up our civil rights?
Ashcrofts only success is that he managed to subpoena confidential medical records of women who had abortions.
The worst Attorney General EVER.
Deficits don't matter?
B**llsh*t!
Bankrupt the country for the benefit of the rich.
